Trawline Copyright Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

1. Our approach

Trawline respects the rights of copyright owners. The Service provides publicly available information from third-party platforms at our customers' request and processes it to deliver results. We do not host content uploaded by our customers, we keep results only temporarily (for up to 24 hours), and we do not provide downloads of videos or other media.

If you believe that content returned by Trawline infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice as described below. We accept notices from rights holders in any country, in the form described by the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act or by comparable laws elsewhere.

2. Where to send a notice

Send notices to blairephantom@gmail.com, with "Copyright notice" in the subject line.

3. What your notice must include

Please include each of the following. A notice without them may not be actionable; if something is missing, we tell you what.

4. What we do when we receive a valid notice

We confirm that we have received it, review it, and take the action we consider appropriate, which may include suspending or terminating the account of any customer who uses the Service to infringe. Temporary copies of results are deleted automatically within 24 hours. We keep no per-customer record of what was requested, so we may be unable to identify which customer, if any, requested particular content. We tell you what we did.

5. Counter-notice

If you are a Trawline customer and believe that action taken because of a notice was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to blairephantom@gmail.com that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material concerned and where it appeared before the action was taken;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the action was taken as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the competent court for the address you give and will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.

We will send a copy of the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person tells us that they have started court proceedings, we may reverse the action taken not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

6. Repeat infringers

We suspend or terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of customers who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

7. Misuse of this process

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may make you liable for damages. We may disregard notices that are clearly unfounded or abusive.

8. Other rights and requests

For requests about personal data rather than copyright, see our Privacy Policy and our Data Sourcing & Takedown page. To report other illegal content, write to blairephantom@gmail.com.
